For all three languages I want to learn, I am a complete beginner. However, I will work extra hard and be consistant as I really wish to learn them. I can only speak mandarin not read and write and I'm much better at Sichuan Hua. My english is fluent in both reading and writing.
I want to learn because it's an interest of mine and if I want to land a job in the future in asia, I believe it would be essential to know these languages. However, for now, I just have the want to learn more about the asian languages.
Time isn't a big factor for me and I could take lessons daily if needed. However, I'd much prefer a more laid back schedule as I'm currently in highschool and starting to look at colleges.
Qualities of lessons or teachers? Consistant. Patient. [and maybe a bit fun], but I don't mind strict teaching styles at all.

I have just moved to South Korea and I plan to live here for a while, so I really want to learn as quickly as possible. I'm a beginner, although, I can read the Korean alphabet, but very very slowly!
I' d like to 50% of the lesson on grammar and building vocabulary, getting a good foundation of Korean, and the other 50% on 'survival' Korean to just make life easier. I have my own text that I've had a look through but I need help with it. I'm also very interested in learning about Korean culture and customs, so any information on that would be lovely.
I can only take lessons on the weekends because of my job, but I'm willing to go to Seoul on Saturday and/or Sunday.
I am also not looking for a language exchange. In the lessons, I'd like to pay for learning Korean only (I teach English during the week so I don't want to fool with it on the weekends!).

I have almost no experience with Korean. My husband's family is Korean and would like to learn so that I can converse better with his mother and other family members.
