AS OF LATE, I HAVE BECOME VERY INTERESTED IN VARIOUS LANGUAGES. CURRENTLY MY PROFICIENCY LEVEL WITH ARABIC IS A BEGINNER. IN ADDITION, MY REASONS FOR LEARNING ARABIC CONSIST OF MY DESIRE TO READ THE QU'RAN IN ITS ORIGINAL LANGUAGE. I FIND THE CONCEPT OF RELIGION TO BE INSIGHTFUL AND MY KNOWLEDGE OF ISLAM IS VERY POOR. SO, INSTEAD OF GOING TO DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS AND GATHERING THEIR OPINIONS ABOUT A PROPOSITION, I DECIDED TO RESEARCH IT FOR MYSELF.
IN ADDITION, I CAN DEVOTE 2 TO 3 HOURS A DAY DURING THE WEEKDAY AND 6 TO 8 HOURS ON THE WEEKEND. THE QUALIFICATION S WHICH A TEACHER MUST HAVE IS A PROFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF GRAMMER AND SYNTAX OF WORDS.

I will be going to Lebanon April 2007, as a visiting artist, and would like to be able to converse with people, and possibly read, in Middle Eastern Arabic.
Ar eas: Conversation mostly, and practical grammer.
T ime: a few hours a week.
Qual ities: experience, if possible someone familiar with the Lebanese and/or Palestinian dialect. interested in role playing conversationa l methods. good sense of humour ;)
