I have been learning Hindi for five years and would like to build my vocabulary more through conversation and reading classes. I am at conversationa l level. I want to be as fluent as possible in Hindi, out of my own interest rather than career development.
I have never studied Punjabi but would like to start as a beginner, just for fun.
The ideal teacher would be somebody who will not take me too seriously and will have a good laugh with me in conversation classes.
I am an Australian girl so I would be happy to tutor English in return for Hindi/Punjabi classes if you wish. :)

I am looking for a teacher that can help me learn my husbands native laguage, Hindi. He is from Hoshiarpur, Punjab, so i am even interested in learning some Punjabi. I am expecting to go to India at the end of the year and have been told that many of my new family speak English. So as a curtesy to my new husband and his family i really need to be able to speak the language to a small degree.
I know very little Hindi at this point, not for lack of trying. I feel that i need a proffessional to help me with my learning.
I am looking for lessons in how to speak with my family whilst in India and understanding the basis of the language a little more. I stuggle with the pronounciatio n and learning the different words for speaking to different genders.
I am looking to do approximatly 1 hour lesson per week until i feel confident to speak to people on going to India.
I am hoping for a teacher who i patient and uses many different learning types for their lessons.
