I am learning a new language to expand my vocabulary. I would like to travel and learn about new cultures. I need improvement in every area ( grammer, conversation. ...) I am willing to dedicate as much time as needed to learn a new language. I'm not particular as to what language I want to learn. I am looking for a teacher who has lived in the country in which I'm expecting to travel. I would like my instructer to not only know the language, but know and appreciate the culture as well. I eventually would like to learn spanish, russian, chinese, french, german, filipino and arabic. So for now, I'm open to any information someone can give me in the Charlotte, NC area. :-)

I have been studying Japanese for four years (including a one year study abroad in Japan) and am currently working for a Japanese company in the West Suburbs of Chicago. My name is Silas Baxter-Neal and i am wanting to learn japanese conversation mostly but would like to eventually learn to read and write as well. My wife is japanese and i have learned alot of basic words from her and through my visits to japan but i would like to be able to be a fluent speaker. I travel alot so i need to have a flexible schedule for lessons but when i am home i don't have regular working hours so most times of day will work for me.
