I am German but living in Australia since 5 years.
I never had any italian lessons but did spend years living in France and Spain (speak both languages very well) so I did already realize how easy it is for me to understand italian conversations . My partner is Italian what makes me beeing interested in learning as well this language.
I would like to have lessons for at least 1,5 h a week, if possible in a small group (not one to one.. toooo expensive!).
The teacher should know how to teach, if possible to start from the beginning with small conversation. . I wnt to have fun while studying :-)

I am a complete novice in Spanish and Italian however I have recently bought a couple of dictionaries to give myself a small headstart. Having recently returned from Sicily I feel I am extremely ignorant only being able to speak my own language (English). I was speaking with an Italian man and he recommended learning Spanish before I learn Italian as he thought this would be an easier route, I also feel that Spanish is more widely spoken therefore I would be able to make use of this language more often. I have ambitions of travelling to many places one of which is South America where I feel Spanish will come in very handy and with the ability to be multi-lingual my experiences should be far greater. Therefore I think I will initially be wanting to learn Spanish and then Italian which I think is a beautiful language. Hopefully in the future with the ability to speak several languages I may have the chance to live and work abroad. I would probably be able to dedicate time for one lesson per week possibly in the evenings as I work full time 9am-5pm (Monday-Frida y). I am looking for an informal and fun way of learning not within a college atmosphere but more of a one to one friendly situation. In the future I may utilise my travelling as a way to improve my skills. My partner is also interested in learning Spanish and then maybe Italian so a joint lesson may be the best way and then we would be able to practice with each other out of hours.
