my daughter is studying italian at secondary school but finds the classes un challenging. She wishes to learn to study the language at more intermediate level. They do not learn to speak the language in class, she wants to start doing this so she can speak it to her grandparents. She would dedicate upto 2 hrs a week study. She wants a teacher who has a sense of humour, relaxed and fun in their teaching method. She is a high achiever and therefore requires some one wo is creative and has superior knowledge of the Italian language & culture.

I have taken italian lanquage courses at CCAC over the years and have a basic understanding of Italian. About 7 years ago, I took private lessons with a tutor who coached me 2 evenings a week for about 4 months. I was able to achieve good communication skills in spanish while traveling on business in South America. I am willing to pay a fair fee for your time and coaching.
I am looking to achieve converstaiona l language skills in Italian to prepare for a vacation to Italy in August 2007, and I have a personal interest in learning the lanquage as I am a 3rd generation italian american. I may want to continue the coaching sessions after ny trip. I would like to be able to smoothly and effectively have discussions in italian--most ly in the present and immediately past tense.
I am willing to meet during the day or early evenings or Saturday mornings to learn. I work in downtown Pittsburgh and live in Shadyside. I will study the materials presented and will take the our time together seriously. I am not interested in learning dialects or the more fromal business communication s styles. I want to be able to handle myself very well while in Italy--sights eeing, airports, hotels, directions, restaurants, etc.

I am a beginner. I want to learn Italian because I want to move there and live and get a job. My main focus would be conversation but due to the fact I want to live there writing and reading are important. I would like to meet once a week but am willing to put extra effort into it if it makes me learn the language more quickly. I want someone who likes to teach, is patient, and understanding to people who are working individuals, also flexibility.
