LEVEL: Beginner
P URPOSE: My husband and his family are from Latvia. I would like my son to learn fluent Latvian so one day when we visit Latvia he can speak with his extended family, or write letters, or talk on the phone to them in Latvian. Also, I would like him to speak to his father in Latvian at home to keep what he learns fresh in his mind so he will never forget what he learns.
AR EAS OF IMPROVEMENT: Since he knows very little now, he can improve in all areas.
LEN GTH OF LANGUAGE LESSON: He has never had a 'language lesson', so I don't know what an appropriate amount of time would be. But, I would guess about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
QUAL ITY OF LESSON AND TEACHER: I would like the quality to reflect authentic Latvian. I would like the lessons to be serious, in depth, interesting, fun and catered toward a child of 10 years old.

I am looking for a Polish school in the San Diego vacinity. I would like my 2 1/2-year-old daughter to attend a Polish pre-school once or twice a week if offered and eventually would like to supplement that with home schooling through the junior high school level. My husband & mother-in-law speak Polish and were born there (my husband moved here as an infant but still spoke Polish at home growing up). Please advise if there are any Polish schools at all in the San Diego area either at the toddler level or more advanced so I know for the future as well. Thank you very much.

I'm an American born Latino who understands Spanish pretty well but needs someone who can help me develop fluency. I am able to do the 'book work' fairly easily, but I need to immerse myself in Spanish so I can practice. I live close to the border so I am flexible when it comes to scheduling time to learn.
