Dear Ma'am, Sir
I am a 26 year old international security consultant and currently live in Roseville, CA.
Since I grew up in a French / American family in Germany, I have been fortunate enough to already be trilingual.
The Korean culture, language and traditions are fascinating to me and I would like to be able to experience more, hence I would like to be able to speak the language. In October, I spent a fortnight in Seoul and absolutely fell in love with the people.
My girlfriend is very supportive of my learning Korean and since we have a 2.5 year old daughter, I really want to be able to communicate with her as she grows up.
As much as I am interested in being able to hold a conversation in Korean for personal reasons, I am also looking at the professional aspect for my consulting company. I was offered multiple positions while in Seoul, but declined due to my lack of proficiency in Korean.
I am willing to invest the time and effort to learn the language from the ground up and could consider this a multiple year educational process, until I felt confident enough to begin learning more without the help of a tutor.
If you are interested in becoming my mentor, I would be most grateful.

i've been interested in learning korean for almost 2 years now.. and i tried working on it myself but looks like i didn't learn anyhting.. that's why i consider myself as a beginner who needs a teacher..

I'm a beginner to the Korean Language. I've been really interested in the Korean culture for a while now, and I wish to visit there in the summer of 2007. I watch alot of Korean movies/dramas , so basically, that is where I learn some of the language. I wish to learn conversationa l phrases, proper grammer, how to write in hangul and to be able to understand when someone is speaking in Korean as well as replying in the proper way.

I am a beginner in all the languages i have chosen. I would like to learn them is because of my interest in foreign language. I am working in travel line and i love to travel. So, by knowing this language will definitely give me an advantage and opportunity in leading a tour to countries like korea,japan and europe country which official language is french.
Basically i need to learn the language in conversation form. If the fees to learn reading and writing is not that expensive, i might consider to take up everything at least the basic. So, talking about the time needed, i do not know how long i need to learn the language since i neither know the pace of the teaching nor my learning pace.
Well , i do hope that the teacher is originally from that country, or have been stayed in that country at least few years who is a master of the language.
