I'm a beginner wanting to learn the language based on the fact that I'm from an Italian family but was not taught the language. i have and will have more business contact with italian speaking people and found only english is not adequte to understand the mentality and way of expression. so i would like start with conversation and easy grammar in order to communicate better and understand better the language and the people.
i would like to have group class or private lession with licensed or qualified teacher, native or fluent.
i could think of 4-6 hours a week at the moment

I am a beginner in Italian and I would love to learn it very well. I just got back from a 4 week trip to Italy and I have decided to attend college there, so I definitly need some knowledge of the language before I go. I learn a lot better with conversation skills, expecially if there were other students with me. I want to dedicate as much time as possible to learn this language, I took 3 years of French in High School, so I am trying to get rid of that mindset. I am looking for a kind, patient teacher that will really challenge me, because I want more than anything to learn Italian. Thank You.

Hello, I'm looking to learn Italian, starting from the beginning. I'm a Californian who is temporatily in Texas. I might be moving to Italy in the next year or so. My boyfriend is from Italy and I visited the Tuscany region two weeks ago and loved it! I have a background in Spanish and I will also be starting French lessons next week. I have always wanted to speak several languages and I enjoy experiencing different cultures. I'm under 30, have two BS's, and one MS degree. I consider myself a life long learner. I appreciate structure, organization, and accuracy in lessons, as well as having some fun. I have heard that the dialect varies by region in Italy and want to take that into consideration . I'm a visual learner and will not do well in a program that is purely auditory. I would like to take lessons twice per week. I'm excited to learn Italian and motivated to start as soon as possible!
