I am a college student outside of Dallas and am very interested in learning a foreign language. I am interested in several languages (Italian, Portuguese, German, Mandarin -> in that order). My college does not offer courses in Italian, which is what I would like to learn the most. I would prefer a teacher who can provide lessons in person and online. I believe that I would learn the language best by speaking in person and understanding pronunciation , and then reinforcing that with home study. I know almost nothing in the language, I am very much a beginner, but am very eager to learn!

As Italians, we are interested in learning conversationa l Italian in hopes to travel there and be able to speak to others. My proficiency level is beginner. I want to learn a foreign language for my own personal edification as well as speaking fluently for possibility of a career change. I want to learn as if I were walking into a university Italian 1A class: grammar, conversation, writing, etc. I would like to meet once or twice a week. I am not sure yet. I want the lesson to be organized like an Italian 1A class. I hope that the teacher is patient and yet thorough in correcting pronounciatio n, writing, and reading.
