I am of Filipino background and am wanting to learn Tagalog so that I can communicate with my family overseas more effectively.
I am a beginner and would like to develop both reading, comprehension and conversation.
I would like a 1 hour lesson every weekend or a two hour lesson every second weekend. Does this suit?

I am in need of a Tagalog tutor who lives in Olongapo City, Luzon. I will be studying abroad there from mid-June until mid-November, 2011. I am looking to acquire the Tagalog language as much as possible. I have taken 4 semesters of Tagalog at my school in the states. I am looking for tutoring sessions 1-2 nights a week while I'm in Olongapo. I would like to become conversationa l in Tagalog. I need someone who will be consistent.

I am British but I have lived in the Philippines for 14 years. I am married to a Filipina who keeps pushing me to learn Tagalog and I agree with her.
I know a reasonable amount but I cannot put whole sentences together. I speak some Spanish so that helps sometimes.
I am looking for an experienced teacher who can come to our house for 2 hours twice a week.
