I have moved to Brazil with my wife, who is pregnant with our first child. She is Brazilian. I need to learn portuguese quickly so I can talk to her family and friends, but more importantly, to find an maintain a job. I am a beginner, that is I know a few words, but not enough to have a conversation of any kind.
I am wanting lessons of 1.5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week. I would like to arrange for around 60 classes over 3-4 months to fast track my abilities of conversation. I have a limited budget, as I am currently unemployed.

I would like to learn brazilian portuguese as I am travelling there with my brazilian boyfriend at the end of the year. I completed level 1 at IML at the University of Queensland last year, so I'd say I am competent at beginner Portuguese, and am looking improve on that. I am looking for a group class once a week for an hour or two, and a teacher that has experience in teaching and a well structured course to build my proficiency. Thanks!
