I am an English International school teacher. I have recently moved to Malmo and am going to live here for at least a year. I have no Swedish language at all. I would like to begin basic, one to one, or small group conversationa l sessions. I would like to learn language skills that will help me in 'everyday' practical and social situations. I am also interested in learning about Swedish life and culture. In addition, I am interested in meeting new people and friends. I am available during week-day afternoons and would like to meet 2/3 times a week.
I am looking for a patient teacher who can setup role-play and conversationa l senarios, and who allows plenty of time for practise and reinforcement !

Since my interest in Scotland doesn't just involve their magic potion called uisgebaugh, but the culture, the history and the country as well, I think learning the original language would be a great way to proceed.
Are there any classes for learning Gaelic - preferably Scottish Gaelic - in Sweden? Or perhaps there are a gaelicspeakin g Scot living in the south of Sweden who can consider giving me some private lessons.
If anybody has information about this, please let me know.
