Description |
I would like to learn Korean for fun or personal enjoyment. I eventually would like to travel to Korea because I love the culture and it looks beautiful. I was also interested in becoming an English teacher there when I was doing my undergrad work.
I'm a beginner. I know only a few words and phrases in Korean from watching dramas or listening to kpop.
I would need improvement in all areas.
I can dedicate as much time as necessary to the language, but ideally would like to do at least one lesson per week.
I'm looking for someone patient and willing to let me ask questions and who will regularly check in during lessons to make sure I'm understanding . Also someone with a flexible schedule and can do either night or weekend lessons as I work 9-5 during the day.

Description |
I want Korean to be the first language I learn, and I am a beginner. I have studied the alphabet and know that, and really basic phrases like hello, but that's it. I have always liked language and I love to travel. I decided on Korean because I love kpop and kdramas, and just Korean culture in general, plus I want to study abroad there in college(I am a senior in high school now). I will dedicate as much time as I need to. I just don't know what direction to go into, because I have been trying to learn about 10+ different languages since freshman year, and the advice I have found online has tugged me in so many different direction from don't use romaji and keep out english as much as possible, to use subtitles don't use them, and I have no idea what to do. I really want to be able to stick to Korean, and learn it without becoming frustrated or bored. Can you help me?

Description |
At the beginning of next year I am going to be returning to school for Linguistics. One of the languages that I plan on learning is Korean. Since this isnt a language offered everywhere I would like to get a head start while I complete my prerequisites . As far as my experience level,I guess I could be considered a midlevel beginner. I am self taught and havent been formally tested. I do work full time but I am confident I could put aside 4 hours a week for study. I am looking for a teacher that is patient but also amicable. I learn best when I am comfortable and have a good rapport with my instructor.

Description |
I am a student interested in learning languages. I would like to have a part time career in translating. I learn languages rather quickly and have a deep passion for their cultures, music and dance. I would like to meet new friends from foreign countries and become a positive involvement in their lives. I would like to become really good at communication and writing. Other languages of interest are Hindi, Hebrew, Irish-Gaelic, Dutch, German, Japanese (Kyo-ben also, Geisha Dialect from Kyoto Gion region), Korean, Italian (Sicilian also) Coptic dialect (Ancient Egyptian dialect). I would also like to learn to read hieroglyphics like the Egyptians used to write. I've always had an interest in ancient Egypt. Once a week is all I can do right now. I would like my teachers to be natives of their languages I wish to learn. I would like a teacher who is friendly, patient, easy-going and fun. I believe languages are doors to other worlds and understanding s of them. Most of the languages I wish to take are of my own nationalities while the other languages are some that I would REALLY love to learn. If anyone can spare at least one day a week for an hour to start that would be great. I have not taken the other languages other than French, Russian and German. I knew a few words in Hebrew. I have been looking for teachers in these languages for a long time and hope I can find some that will fulfill my aspirations of being a translator. Let me know the price of your lessons and if you are interested in teaching me your countries beautiful and fascinating languages.
