I am going to be living in Cairo for three months over summer. I am about to go into an Masters in Persian history and hope to progress to a PHD. As I am studying Perdían history at post grad level I am looking for a tutor to teach me Persian from scratch. I do not need to learn speaking but only reading comprehension so that I will be able to read historical documents. I hope to do an intensive three months of learning so that I can go back to England after summer able to read Persian.

I wish to learn Farsi because my husband is Iranian and I want to bring up our children as Farsi speakers.
My proficiency level is beginner and I am particularly interested in developing general conversationa l skills, although I also wish to learn to read and write Farsi in due course.
I work full time at present so have time in the evenings and weekends to study, but will be going on maternity leave in mid-August / September so will have more free time then.
I am willing to undertake self-study but would like to find a teacher who can help me with more difficult issues and provide general support. I am flexible as to whether lessons are on line or in person, but I will have limited mobility from mid-August so would need any lessons in person to be at my home in NW London.
