To whom it may concern,
Hello, my name is Mark, I am a physician living in Dallas and I very interested in learning spanish. I have a strong desire to communicate with my patients; since I have a significant spanish-speak ing population in my practice. I also want to be able to communicate with my fiance's family who are largely spanish-speak ing only. I have been self-learning for the past year with tapes, books, etc... Now I am ready to take my learning to the next level. I am very serious about my learning and plan to commit 2-4 hours of instruction per week. I am a very analytical learner who prefers rules over root memorization, and when root memorization is/isn't needed I always prefer a lot of repetition. Thank you for your assistance.

I will be in Tampa, Florida June 21-25 and wish to attend Intermediate spanish classes or tutorial sessions. Ideally, I would like to be in class or tutoring session each day for five days. I am currently a full time student at the university of florida majoring in philosophy and going into my senior year. I am home in tampa for the summer and would like begin learning foreign languages. I am a highly intelligent student looking to expand my knowledge, I love learning! I would like to study a few days a week. I would like to start learning latin and continue to learn other languages such as greek after.

My proficiency level is intermediate, I was raised in a home were Spanish was spoken occasionally, but was never taught to speak the language. So I guess I understande a lot more than I speak. I am learning spanish for two reasons. One, to help out my career. Two, to pass down my culture to my children one day, which is very important to me. I feel I need improvement in all areas of the language, in particular conversation. I am willing to dedicate a good chunk of my schedule in order to progress rapidly, as much as 3 times per week, it's something I've been putting off fot too long and I am motivated to begin the journey.

I've always been interested in becoming fluent in Spanish. I have taken several classes in the language and actually have graduated with a degree in Spanish Education, however, in order to teach I need a rating of Intermediate High/Advanace d Low on the ACTFL Test. When I took the test I received a rating of Intermedite Mid.
I do work at least 40 hours a week, however, I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can in order to become fluent.
