I have working knowledge in reading cyrillic.
It is really important for my education to have a compentent knowledge--es pecially in reading Russian. I am a Russian historian, working on my Masters and will need this in order to apply for a PhD.
I would like to dedicate at least a summer (3 months) on this and see where it goes from there.

I would say my proficiency level is adavanced begginner or itermediate. I had taken it in highschool as well as 9 or so classes in college.
I am looking to get my ability to converse much stronger, develop a larger vocabulary, as well as strengthen my reading and writing skills.
I am not sure how much time I will be able to spend alot will depend on the flexibilty of the instructor.
