My proficiency level is beginner in all languages. These three languages are useful for career advancement in my major of Holocaust and Genocide Studies. I need improvement in all aspects of the learning process. I would like to dedicate weekends to my study with homework during the week to test my improvement. The qualities I am searching for are preferrably for native speakers, however, if not available, a superior record in tutoring. A considerate fee amount is also acceptable. I also know Polish, which help me improve faster in the Croatian and Serbo-Croatio n languages.

L earning: I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in Government w/ a Minor in East European, Eurasian, and Russian Studies. I became very interested in specifically the Balkans, and I've wanted to learn the language for some time. However, living in Texas I of course took Spanish. One day I hope to work for the NED in Eastern Europe.
Si nce I have never studied the language I need improvement all around.
I would like to dedicate as much of my time as I can, while still working full time.
Idea lly, I would like my teacher to be a good communicator, patient and friendly.

I am in graduate school and have met someone who speaks very little English, so I thought learning Serbian would help us communicate better. I want to visit Serbia in 2007 and I think it is respectful to communicate in a language other than English so that everyone is comfortable communicating .
