I'm learning Egyptian arabic as I travel to Egypt a few times a year. I have many Egyptian friends and feel inferior that most of the conversation has to be translated for my benefit, it becomes tiresome for both parties. I intend spending more time in Egypt in the future. I'm at beginner level. I have arabic cd's which tend to become tedious. As for time I want to dedicate to the language, this will depend on what the teacher can offer me and what I can fit into my schedule.. I have no real expectations for my lessons/teach er other than to have a rapport with my teacher and I learn the language.

Im a student at Peter Symonds College in Winchester and hopefully be going on to University to study journalism. I am from an arabic background (Morocco) but the arabic we speak in Morocco isn't true arabic, which is what i want to learn.
