I would like to learn Chinese because i have mostly asian friends and i would like to speak in their native language with them. I can speak Japanese and would like to study the chinese characters and learn what they mean in chinese and their difference to Japanese characters.
I also read alot of books about Chinese history, and i have studied alot about the Cultural Revolution.
I am planning to go to China in the future and i would like to start learning now so i can communicate with people when i get there.

I speak conversationa l mandarin itself. Would like to learn to read and write the chinese language for business and career advancement purposes.
I would also be interested in expanding my mandarin vocabulary base. Willing to commit approximately 4 to 5 hours a week towards learning for the month of April then between 2 to 3 hours a week from May onwards.
