I'm a beginner. I want to learn Hungarian so I can learn more about my father, who was born and grew up there. I especially want to be able to go into the archives, learn about him and his family, and read about what life was like for him, but I also want to be able t5o converse in Hungarian.
I hope travel to Hungary this summer for two weeks, and I would like to take intensive language classes during that time.
After I retire from my job jext year at age 65, I would like to devote my full time to this endeavor.

I am a beginner. My family is Hungarian, however my brother, cousins and I who were born in the United States do not speak Hungarian. I still have family in Hungary, and I very much desire to be able to have a conversation with them. I also would like to travel back to Hungary again (I've been there once). I would dedicate a great amount of time to my lessons and practicing the language. Although my parents speak Hungarian, I have not learned it from them. They will be great to practice with though! I need a teacher that has a flexible schedule, as mine is very hectic since I am in college. Thank you very much!

I would am searching for someone who is willing to spend some time to teach me Hungarian. I would like to learn Hungarian because my boyfriend lives in Budapest and neither of his parents speak English. I am also researching attending college/unive rsity in Hungary, and taking Hungarian language lessons there as well, but I would like to establish some sort of basis with the language. I have a very limited knowledge of the language, mostly useless things, from spending some time living with his family in Budapest and speaking to some of his friends. I would like to spend about two hours a week just developing a basic knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, which I understand is very difficult. Anyone nearby who speaks the language and is willing to put in the time to teach me would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
