I have learned some of the letters of the Devanagari alphabet and can at least read/sound out words written in the script but won't actually know their meaning
(I married into a family and want to learn and now have a surname)
I lived in India for a few months and learnt a bit but would love to be able to be fluent and understand. well what my family members speak about, haha.

I am very interested in learning either the Hindi or Punjabi language. I wanted to learn a second language and chose one of these languages. I would like to be able to converse with people who speak these languages, as well as learn to read it. I have found that many new immigrants to Canada who havn't learned English rely heavily on relatives to communicate with those providing services. I feel it would be an asset to this growing community in Kamloops, as I would be able to serve them better in my job.
I am looking for someone who resides in Kamloops and whose native language is either Hindi or Punjabi, and perhaps has experience in teaching or tutoring professionall y.
