Hi,
I want to learn Arabic as my father is from Egypt and we travel to Cairo every year to visit family. On these trips I want to be able to speak proficent arabic and also see learning this language to a high level as a potential career path. I am a beginner with little knowldege of the language. My father is a native speaker and he will guide me throughout the duration of the course. I am interested in One to One tuiton or a small class. If you could replie with prices the course you recommend and course content I would greatly appreiciate it. Thank you

I would like to learn Arabic out of my personal interest in this culture and language. I have few Arabic friends trying to teach me basic words, also I search internet to learn more, read Qur'an but English version and love Arabic music. I need regular classes to learn more effectively as it would be more motivating than studying by myself at home knowing nothing about grammar and pronunciation . I am at beginner level, knowing only greetings and are able to write in Arabic including normal writing and transcription . Would like to improve my vocabulary, pronunciation and be able to conduct a simple conversation, also be able to read Arabic script. I would be able to dedicate about 2 hours every week or two, as I need to reconcile this with my college work. I am looking for a qualified teacher who is able to clearly convey knowledge, patient, friendly and adaptable to student's level and speed of learning.

Having recently moved to Waterford I find that the local college has cancelled the course in Arabic that I had applied for.
I have studied Arabic for two terms at Queen's University Belfast,and I am keen to continue.
I have been learning Standard Arabic,and my tutor was able to include colloquial Egyptian.
I would be like to attend a class with a few others,or as an individual.St andard or Egyptian Arabic would be fine.

I'm learning Egyptian arabic as I travel to Egypt a few times a year. I have many Egyptian friends and feel inferior that most of the conversation has to be translated for my benefit, it becomes tiresome for both parties. I intend spending more time in Egypt in the future. I'm at beginner level. I have arabic cd's which tend to become tedious. As for time I want to dedicate to the language, this will depend on what the teacher can offer me and what I can fit into my schedule.. I have no real expectations for my lessons/teach er other than to have a rapport with my teacher and I learn the language.
