My lessons are well-planned and very student-centr ed. Depending on the type lesson (TTT or PPP), I would have the following approach:
Test-Teach-Tes t (TTT)
My objective is to find out what the students already know about a particular area of language and then use this as basis for deciding what to teach. I would start with a lead-in to activate the students' schemata on the topic. The next stage would be a gap-fill task to check the level of knowledge of the target language. During that stage, I would focus on the language that students used as the basis to present the gaps in their knowledge that the first stage showed up. My main objective during the second stage would be clarifying meaning, form and pronunciation (MFP). During the third stage, I would ask the students to practice the new language, which could be done through the same activity as the first stage or with a different activity.
