In my opinion having fun is one of the key elements when teaching a language. I think having a good understanding of each other and respect are also truly important. Depending on your needs we will focus on the skills you want to improve. I am quite knowledgable in a lot of topics and love good discussions. Being a language learner myself I understand how hard it can sometimes be. I am patient and understanding when it comes to being shy. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of students from all background and ages (6 to 87).

Langauage is about communication , communication is about relating and that's my teaching approach... I first relate to the student, assess their personality style, learning style, wants, needs, fears and goals and then I meet them where they are at and work with them to get to where they want to go.
If they're not sure where they want to go, I set a course and we start and generally as we work together, the student starts to get an idea of where they want to go and we recalculate our route accordingly ;) |
