It is fascinating how cultural exchange has changed the view of my life and enhance the depth of my performances over these years I live abroad. Therefore, in my lessons, I would focus on the practicality of the use of a language. I will also give a strong emphasise on the cultural aspect that the language (Guangzhou Cantonese, Hong Kong Cantonese, Shanghai Mandarin, British English, American English etc.)in order to show the student how a language affects communication these days, and what is beyond the language, i.e. what regards touching in this culture and how the language of this region reflect on this.
More over, I have interest to share my experience on stage with my students and inspire them with the things I see and I learn while performing. I believe it would be a great approach to learn a language, which is the tool of communication , in a very efficient and joyful way.

Why teach Chinese? Because I believe in its capacity to increase the neuroplastici ty of our brain, regardless of its age. We may not be able to perceive any physical changes our brain undergoes, but research has shown that if we put ourselves in a cognitively stimulating environment, the plasticity of our brain increases with growing new neuronal connections. I subscribe to brain-based language teaching and my highly interactive classroom is just such an environment. And the tonal and ideographic nature of Chinese makes it a language uniquely suited for such a task. In our changing world, one can never go wrong by trying to increase the agility of ones brain.
