I am native Spanish speaker which allows me to understand the deeper intricacies of the language. I was born and raised in a South American country known for having a rich cultural influx. By being born in Bogotá, I was gifted with a neutral accent, which is able to be understood by anyone, therefore, it is easy to learn.
Mor eover, my experience as a Spanish teacher in my last job helped me to understand that it is necessary to approach their education with more varied techniques than simply reading, translating or memorizing. I developed strategies for awakening student’s interest through project-based learning to more effectively teach Spanish as a second language. By also utilizing Google plus, Prezi and Web 2.0 tools, kids have a much richer, fuller understanding of Spanish by relating it to their everyday experience. I would be a great advantage for a family who understands the importance of success in their children's lives. |

I do a hands on and vocal approach. My theory in teaching is breaking it down to a child’s comprehension level; were even adults can remember words without having memorized homework or vocabulary drills.
