I tailor my lessons to my students' needs so I would always have an intial interview to determine the level of knowledge of the students and their preferences in terms of learning styles. As a college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, I use my understanding of the fundamental similarities and differences across languages to put myself in my students' shoes, in order to allow them to fully comprehend the ways English and Spanish function differently or similarly to their own native language. I have taken Phonetics within my Linguistics education, and can aid students in producing English that sounds like it is coming from a native speaker's mouth.
