Being a Parisian, not only I'll be able to help you raise your french level to fluent, but I'll also give you an insight of the french culture.
How does parisians greet eachother ? How does southerner greet eachothers ? What would you prepare for a dinner with french people ? for a breakfast ? etc..!
I'l l transmit you an insight of my 18 years of experience in Paris and Southern of France, while teaching you the language ! I'm fun and open minded; we will be able to approach all subjects, so that you can get yourself out of every situation !
I'll take supports on recent newspaper, books and movies ( to watch on your own !), if you're up for it !
To let you judge, I put the first 2 hours lesson half price ! Hope to hear from you soon ! Florian |

I am able to give to my students great grammar skills for both french spoken and written.
I know that the best way of learning is to pratice in a good environnment. French is a difficult language, but not so difficult when you often practice it with the right person.
Written skills and Spoken skills are really different. When you speak French you have two different levels, proficiency and common conversation. In these 2 cases I can change my approach to give to my student the best tools.

My approach to learning languages is the Communicative Approach. All activities proposed aim at communicating in the target language since the first lessons avoiding the use of mother tongue as much as possible. My focus is on a holistic model to understand the complexities of the language and be an autonomous learner as well, as the process of learning a language is a continuous one. The activities are planned using a different range of authentic materials and focusing on different language skills. |

My teaching approach keeps listening what the learner wants to get from lessons. From learner who wants to be fully fluent in French to those who just want to feel comfortable by the idea of travelling in France, I can ask more, and go even deeply into etymology or grammar for those (like me) who are really interested in the language building. |

In order to master a language, I think it is really important to master the Grammar. French grammar is really difficult, that is why we will go deeply, during each lesson into an important grammar point. We will also do exercices to apply what we just learnt. We will also practice by having conversation. It is really important that the student tries to speak as much as possible. I also like to do a lot of translation exercices. I believe that it helps a lot in order to be able to understand how the language work and how to use correctly the different words and expression. |

In my experience, the best way to remain passionate about a language and therefore effective in learning, is to have access to a rich diversity of documents, from cinema to textbooks as well as fairy tales. It is in that aim that I intend to introduce you to some French novels, movies, music and (as it's my major), comics. As my job is to draw in a way to tell stories, I can take advantage of both drawing and storytelling skills to make remembering easier. Acce ss interesting documents is nothing more than a good medium for learning, then what I can do as a teacher is : - to accompany you step by step to allow you its appropriation (help you understand, shed light on the context, the kind of language used and tell you in which situation you should re-use it.) - to chat with you about it in a way to improve your conversation skills as well as starting to appropriate new vocabulary. - to explain you some specific grammar rules encountered in the document. If you have some favorite to... |
