Hello,
I am a Leiden Uni student in The Hague for the next three years and I am offering Russian tuition here. Before I studied in the UK and have a very wide communicative base on which, from my personal experience, is best to build a study of any language, paying big attention to grammar, pronunciation and an ability to naturally put the words together, both on paper and in conversation.
Studying Russian is not about the language itself, the language is the cultural code of Russian literature, art, music, popular culture, Russian history and Russian mindset. It is an ever-developi ng phenomena within the CIS (former USSR) and an indispensable part of the world heritage.
If you want to learn Russian not just by grey textbooks and endless hieroglyphic Cyrillic grammar rules (as they might seem to you), but absorb a language, at the same time exploring how is it projected in the fields of your personal interest, then let's discover it together!

Private Instruction is a fast, effective and pleasant way to learn a new language. Students learn their new language the way it is spoken today. They learn proper pronunciation and correct grammar so that they can understand their new language and are understood by their colleagues abroad. I prefer to proceed from simple concepts to complex ones. In the early stages, students deal with simple declarative sentences, then questions. Only later they are exposed to relative and subordinate clauses, compound and complex forms, and sentence embedding. Likewise, students are first taught to identify and describe the people and objects in their immediate surroundings. This is then expanded to permit them to discuss abstract relationships , feelings, emotions, conditions, cause/effect relationship; etc. |
