My approach to teaching is CELTA based. I suggest an idea or theme and the students have to work on it. I encourage them to use their existing language skills to express themselves thus helping them to improve,corre ct and enhance their working knowledge of the language.Gram mar related to the context is then worked upon...Themes will usally revolve around current affairs for Business students and for intermediate/ beginner levels around the common usage of the language like going to the supermarket,a t the train station etc. |

I believe students learn when they are inspired with their own personal interests. For example: if my student loves to play an instrument I might suggest writing songs to play in the language being studied or if my student loves to cook I might have them learn how to write and read a recipe. Using the passions of my students to inspire them has proven to be highly effective. I am an extremely creative teacher. No two students will get the same lesson. |
