I believe that students feel more satisfied when they get to understand things faster (i.e. to learn how to speak and listen to the native speakers soon rather than learning a lot of grammar).
Nonetheles s, if you are learning a language for academic or professional purposes it is good to learn a lot of grammar. I like to incorporate dialogs where the students can learn useful phrases (for daily use), vocabulary, as well as grammatical aspects. |
