Depending on the learners strengths or weaknesses in learning a foreiegn language they set the pace and agenda if its a one to one or group lesson. Learners are made to feel relaxed and important and lessons are designed around enjoyment and participation . |

I always believed in a small classroom setting. One on one is ideally the most effective because it allows the teacher to focus on one student. Conversationa l english allows for practical english usage adding a wide variety of topics to discuss and cultural awareness. |

They say Rome was not built in a day. This holds true with language as well as other things in life. Language is not learned overnight with the use of a textbook and a few tapes. One must have daily exposure and a willingness to examine the nitty-gritty detail of spoken as well as written language. This only comes through practice and participation where one is forced into using the language in a consistent manner, to overcome uncertainty as well as miscommunicat ions and God for bid misunderstand ings. The program that I uses is very basic and very simple. It is solving old problems with their ideas. I've taken the idea of using interactive English software known as Dragon NaturallySpea king which is a speech to text software. This allows my students the ability to see their own success by having an AI convert their language skills into text on the computer screen.
