Hello Rafael! I think this book is Classical Greek, so it teaches the language of 2000 years ago. Modern Greek is very similar, and perhaps if you ultimately want to learn Modern Greek, knowing a little Classical Greek would help a lot. Only that Classical Greek grammar is more complicate than Modern Greek's. You can use the book Teach Yourself Greek. Hope that helps, bye bye!

My name is Jorge and I'm Spanish. There are many suffixes to put them all here, but these ones may help you:
able --> able (enjoyable=disfrutable)
ful --> oso, ado, ada (wonderful=maravilloso Truthful=verdadero)
ment --> cion, or, miento (movement=movimiento)
ness --> idad, eza (darkness=oscuridad sadness=tristeza)
ess/ine --> esa, esa, ina, iz (heroine=heroína tigress=tigresa)
ance --> ancia, encia, cion (appearance=apariencia acceptance=aceptación)
y --> oso (noisy=ruidoso)
ly --> mente (slowly=lentamente)
ous --> oso (furious=furioso)
cal --> ico, ica (magical=mágico)
tion --> cion, or (invention=invención)
