Re:Re:Tell me the difference between
Because you have two different answers, let me confirm for you the correct answer.

Luke is correct, "tall" is the distance for an object. So you woud say "how tall is the tree" this means what is the height of the tree. If an apple is hanging from that tree, and you want to know know the distance between the apple and the ground you would say "How high is the apple".

Tall - Measurement of the height of an object
High - Measurement of height between two seperate objects (example; ground and apple)

English can be very confusing :)

Re:Tell me the difference between
Though my native tongue is not english i have studied lot of english.

Use only tall for live things.

use high only for non-live (inanimate objects like mountain etc.Even here we say height of the tree is ...etc

Fo;;ow this advice for the present.

U will not be wrong

Re:Tell me the difference between
the difference is that tall is to measure an object for example the man is six feet tall and high is to measure difference such as the airplane is 10,000 feet high. just remember that tall is for objects and high is for distance.

Tell me the difference between "tall" and "high"
Hi.
I wonder what is the difference between
"He is 172 centimeters high." and "He is 172 centimeters tall."
Are both expressions OK?

Thanks in advance.
