Im also a big fan of Ghibli.
I think ive watched all or most.
Ive watched all the ones that are posted @ goodanime.net
But... Im not sure if they're missing some movies.
The movie that I remember liking as a child was Spirited away.

Another one I liked was one of the movies that started with a 'p'.
Cant recall the entire name, but also a good one. Of course Princess Mononoke was another well known favorite. Hmmm....
-w-, I like watching K-dramas and J-dramas....And movies. Anime has always been something quite attached to me.
Recently, I havent had time to watch the recent released ones..... But they're looking good, In my opinion.

Hi, I like so much Ghibli. But I prefer till Mononoke. Because there were big messages in the film till Mononoke... Anyway, Hayao and Joe are great. also Isao Takahata is very important person for Ghibli.

I'm a big fan of Ghibli! Although I haven't seen many Ghibli films but Miyazaki Hayao and Joe Hisaishi are on my list of favorite people already.

I have seen Stalker, actually I own it, but only in VHS format which I got for a mere $2 because there was a rental store that was closing. You know I've been to Talinn, Estonia in which the film was shot and it is very beautiful but the movie doesn't at all focus on that, though yes Stalker is very interesting.
I'll try to check out Heart of Dog but I might have a difficult time finding it, and I'm not a member of net flix.

My favorite movie of all time is Áðåñòñêàÿ êðåïîñòü, Brestskaya krepost', (The Brest Fortress) and I am waiting for the new Russian movie "Stalingrad" to come out

Andrei Tarkovsky Андрей Тарковски
I have seen all the main Andrei Tarkovsky movies. My favorites are Solaris and Nostalghia. I also have his book Sculpting in Time and I agree that time is the medium of film making. I have been to Russian and to Tallinn Estonia where Tarkovsky's movie Stalker was filmed. I like how he incorporates his father's poetry in the movie. I especially like the long takes and American poet Jorie Graham's poetry has been inspired by it.

Native russians don't watch movies because our culture is closely to pushtuns. So we don't produce movies too.
Russia occupied by south invaders for last century. That invaders to produce many false propaganda movies and call it "russians" for pressure inhabitants by wrong imagine for easy oppression. Of course, it isn't russians films in real.
So you can't find russian movies even because it's not exist.
But you can find many false propaganda movies (like soviets) with specific "russian" voices and there is little bit of good movies only.
