Language conversation exchange
I a am 69 years old retired architect and university teacher (design informatics). Temporarily I live in Nice to learn French because of my interest in French art and culture. My interests are reading, hiking, painting, music, photography and digital art. I seek a native French person living in Nice (or at a reasonable distance from Nice) to exchange French/English conversations(niveau débutant). I also speak Dutch and Persian.

New french in NYC
Hi!
I'm a native french and I just arrived in Hoboken (It's in NJ, just near NYC). My roommate is french so I don't really practice my english. I'm not bad, but I would like to improve my writting and/or speaking/listening skills.

Bonjour! Je suis americaine et je veux bien vous aider avec l'anglais, mais je ne suis pas un membre or aussi. J'espère que mon français n'est pas trop mal. Je suis désolé, mais nous pouvons echanger les langues sur cette page. I'm not sure if you have studied English for a very long time, but in your message, you have some grammatical issues, although it doesn't detract from the meaning of your statements. Par example, the "hey" is an interjection and should be capitalized, and the commas are usually placed right next to the last letter of the last word of the clause/word and then a space added after that and not the other way around like you have done it. Again, I'm not sure if you type this way, because it is the "French" way, but also, some of the conjunctions do not have an apostrophe. When you say, "I search," it should really be, "I'm searching for," because your are currently completing the action in the present tense, instead of in the infinitive form.
