Hello! (Teaching English, Learning Japanese)
Hello. My name is Jessica. I live in New York, USA. My native language is English. I am interested in learning Japanese. It was always a language I have wanted to learn. I love Japanese books, movies, TV shows, food, almost everything. I have always hated it when there were things I couldn't understand or that weren't in English and I had no way to understand them, so I decided to learn Japanese. I am mostly a beginner, but I have picked up words and phrases here and there. I feel like most beginner courses are a little bit too easy. I know Hiragana, am currently learning Katakana and Kanji. I only know about 20-30 Kanji, so it is definitely something I am trying to work on. I am currently using the Heisig method (RTK), but I'm not sure I like it too much. i think it would help to learn the radicals first. I am also confused about how to go about learning the pronunciation of Kanji.
Ahhh this is getting way too long.
I am looking forward to learning Japanese, and would love to help anybody with English!

watashi wa Eigo ga wakarimasu, soshite furansugo o benkyou shimasu (demo mada jozu ja arimasen)
I can only write in Romaji (katakana to hiragana to kanji ga wakarimasen)
I hope that was understandable ^^;
I would love to help you with English and French as much as I can, and would be happy if you could teach me Japanese :)

Hi! I'm also 17 and learning the same language set! haha
Obviously I'm a native English speaker, but I think it would be cool to communicate anyways in the languages we're trying to learn :)
It would definitely take the pressure off.
I'm actually new to Japanese, and trying to improve in French- so kind of the reverse of you.
I'm pretty sure I could help you with French at least ^_^
