How to greet people in Japanese?
Hi everyone,
It's great and fun when I can speak some local language to local people of countries where I can visit. It's fun to learn foreign languages, too.
I hope you can help me to study basic Japanese phrases and sentences which are popularly used in daily life by Japanese people. I will post according to different topics. And if you would like to study English or Vietnamese, I'm willing to help you. Thanks!
Could everyone help me to translate these sentences into Japanese?
1. GREETINGS - Good morning!
- Good afternoon!
- Good evening!
- How are you? + I'm fine, thank you! And you? + I'm fine, too.
- Can you speak English? + Yes, I can. + Yes, I can speak a little. + No, I can't speak English.
- Can you understand English? + Yes, I can. + No, I can't.

Greetings
Hello, everyone (mina-san). I am learning Japanese.
Is there any other Japanese greeting aside from "Ogenki desu ka." or "Konnichiwa". Is it ok to use it as business greeting?
I have fairly good command of English language, having learned it since I was 6 years old or 60 years ago. If any Japanese is willing to learn English, I shall be most glad to exchange lessons?

Re:How do I type this on a keyboard? 怖い
see the funny thing is that you somehow have both katakana and hiragana there. on my computer how I type is I set my input mode to hiragana and then after every word you either hit "enter" if that's the word you want or you pretty much continue hitting the space button until it changes to the correct word. so then you get すごい、すばらしい、and, 怖い。

Re:Getting started with Korean
Cheers. Mate. I'm chan from south korea but live in bristol now. Anyway, ok let's have a look. The first one "lets do sth " -하자. The second one "let's party" is 파티하자 but it is just translated sentence and we usually say " 달리자" which means 'lets run' literally. I hope this is helpful to you . Ah sorry last one common ways of greeting is "여" like whats up. Do you know what i mean? If you find this difficult, you can ask more,! My pleasure.
