Re:Re:Re:Re:Hello everyone
(hopefuly the other post has been posted as well)
Ok, now let me write down some basic facts about Slovenian grammar:

I'm having some trouble with the english terminology, so here's 2 expressions I've found in a dictionary here:

conjugation = for verbs (probably a synonime for declination), Slov.=spregatev
declension = for nouns (declension in 6 cases), Slov.=sklanjatev

NOUNS:
-3 sexes: m., f., n. ofc :)
-6 cases of declension;
-with a few different types of declension for each sex (f.:3 types, m.:3 types, n.:1 type (a few of these are almost not used at all, so don't worry about all the different types :)
-numbers: singular, dual, plural

PRONOUNS:
I won't go into too much detail here..

VERBS:
-3 tenses (a 4th "past perfect" (predpreteklik) is practicaly not in use any more)
-verbs conjugate in 3 ways: past, present, future

ADJECTIVES:
-numbers
-adjectives
-adjective pronouns
their declination (or whatever it is we do to them :) ) very much follows the one of the nouns they are describing

There. I hope this makes any sence. I'm sure it's very similar to Russian in many parts, but I think it's useful to know where one's at and what (s)he's learning. If you'll know all the stuf I've written down here, your Slovenian will be extremely good in my opinion.

In my next post, I'll start with the most common verb and noun features, which, if you ask me, are not too hard.

Till next time,
have fun,
Mencinger

Re:Re:Hello everyone
I've replied to this once already, but it has been more than 24 hours now and I'm a bit concerned about it :)
So here is the thing again:

Since none of us is a gold member, I would be very happy if you could make me a list of all Russian verb and noun declinations in this post for starters.
And please do ask some stuff about Slovenian or any other language you wnat to learn. I would be glad to answer.

Hey Justin!

Probably I could help you too. I mean, the more people to practise with, the better. I'm 23, from Moscow, learning English. However, I'm not a Gold Member, so I can't contact you through the site. If YOU can, I'd be happy to hear from you.
