Croatia
Hi again Ivan!
I did reply to your message- hope you recevied it. I forgot to ask about currency. I will be travelling from South Africa and they tell me Croatia has its own currency. Is it okay to take Euro travellers cheques and exchange it there? Hope to hear from you again...By the way I like beaches and swimming so if you can recommend the best ones and also how to get there, I would really appreciate the advice!

Thanks for the info Ivan!
Hi Ivan
I really appreciate the useful information- its not easy travelling alone to a country you don't know! I have only one day in Zagreb, then travel on to Opatija, Split and last a few days in Dubrovnik. How is the public transport there as obviously I will have to travel by bus or train from one place to the next? I have noted the new words- can you send me more? Thanks again

I need some travel information about Kuwait, Please help me!
I'm from Taiwan, this year(2008) I will go to Kuwait, I tried to search the internet about the weather, the traffic, and the famous food, but there is nothing. Could you tell me something about Kuwait!! Q1:How is the weather there? Hot? Cool? Is the temperature difference? What kind of clothes should I take? I've heard the sand and the wind are strong, really? May I wear contact there? Q2:Is the Price there very expensive? My friends heard I'm going to Kuwait, they all asked me for gifts!! Please introduce me to inexpensive gifts! Or maybe I will take the sand for them (Ha!). Q3:If I want to send the mail from Kuwait to Taiwan, when the mail will be received? Q4:This is the last question, I promise! Is there anything what I have to keep an eye on? !!!!!!Thank you very much!!!!!! By the way, I have tried to learn arabic, but...but...it's really very difficult so much!!!! The retroflex words almost knot my tongue!!!

Re:Visit to Croatia from South Africa
Some travel tips for you while in croatia. When in split take a day out to go see "Plitvicke jezera" jezera means lakes it is a natural wonder, 16 lakes that cascade into each other by means of waterfalls. Also from Split up the coast going north is a tourist resort called Makarska, worth while to visit, very picturesque. Split and rijeka which is close to opatija have many ferries to take you to the many islands, If you are young at heart like 30 or under, I recommend Korcula isle suited for the younger. If you are older and want some finer things go to isle of Rab very picturesque old town with crystal clear waters and some sand beaches also, most beaches are pebbles in croatia. I will be in croatia in july also, going to zagreb, then zadar and trogir. Trogir is closer to split airport than split is, and you find apartments 20m from the beach for 35 euro per night.I have a free stay in zagreb and zadar from friends. Most people on the coast speak english quite well, but I give you some phrases to help. Kakosi is how are you. dobro is good. Hvala, which can be pronounced aslo as fala is thankyou. Gdye is where. pokazi is show.
