Hi Angela! Are you coming to Buenos Aires or other place? I´ll try to help you in anything you need. I´m not a gold member, can you contact me? If not, we´ll find the way. Let me tell you: the vocabulary and local expressions are more important than the accent. So, how is your spanish? basic, good...?
Hasta pronto! Ceci

Re:Re:Re:Re:hola ! i am looking for spainish speaker and who wanna learn chinese
hey :)
yes.. the vocabulary is probably going to be the most difficult part for me! i'd say my spanish is pretty good, but because my spanish teacher is from Spain, i know more about how they talk in Spain than I do in Argentina. i'm not sure which city i'll be at yet.. it might be Buenos Aires! and i have a problem with talking fast.. do the people in argentina pronounce every "ll" like "sh" ? Or just some words? thanks for replying.. hope to hear from you soon! i'm not a gold member either. hmm.. do you have MSN?

Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:hola ! i am looking for spainish speaker and who wanna learn chinese
Hey, Angela:
Yes, I have MSN...And yes, every "LL" is pronounced like a strong "sh" (like in "shoot"). But the most important thing is that people here use "vos" instead of "tu" when speaking to another person. The verb changes too. Is the main characteristic of argentinians dialect.
About talking fast well, is typical of porteños (people of Buenos Aires)but not in the rest of the country. We also tend to "eat" the "s" (we don´t pronounce them soundly) even some latinamericans have problems with understanding!
Espero que charlemos pronto! Saludos, Ceci

Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:hola ! i am looking for spainish speaker and who wanna learn chinese
Hello again :)
Yeah, I've noticed from a couple people that I've talked to that they use "vos podés" and words like that.. I've practiced it a little bit
..but talking really fast is something I'm going to have to work on, heh. I tend to stutter a lot
Thanks for your help!
