"I miss you" to a friend in Spanish? Is te echo de menos correct?

Hi! It depends... in Mexico people use to say "Te echo de menos" but where I live (Argentina) we use to say: "Te extraño" I think that if you translate "I miss you" the correct translation would be "Te extraño". I wish I helped you!
