I`d like to know which are the diference betwen English and gaelic.

English developed as a germanic language, with heavy Latin and French influences. Gaelic is a Celtic language related to Manx, Scots, and Welsh. Gaelic is the native language of Ireland. English and Gaelic are very, very different languages. Ireland is trying to redevelop the language since most native speakers have died off and virtually all Irish citizens speak English as their mother tongue.
