I wish to learn verbal and written Japanese and everything about Japan
My name is Christina, I am a nurse in the US Air Force. I will transfer to Yokota, Japan at the end of November. I hope to develop a group of friends on and offline that will help me learn everything about my new home in Japan, its culture, courtesies, and beauty. I love to teach and to learn. I love families, art, music, martial arts (I have not got to practice in a dojo for 3 years now-I practice on my own- I would love to have a sensei in a style suited to me). I am 170 cm and 57 kg, so I am not sure of what Japanese style martial arts would suit my build-any ideas of what syle? I have a great time watching anime, reading, writing, laughter and outdoor activities. I rarely get bored, life is too short! Nejonga ga wakalimas ga?(My spelling needs work!) Thank you!

Re:I wish to learn verbal and written Japanese and everything about Japan
I am not from Japan however my high school band and I went there over spring break this year. I know that some courtesies are that you should not eat or srink while you walk on the streets, always throw your trash in the correct bin (obvious), NEVER throw anything onto the ground, and if you run into anyone on a train or bus, you say (pronounced) 'soo- may-ma-san' with a quiet 'd' at the end of 'san'. When we went there, we all had fun; I hope that you will too and love your new home!
