German form of some English phrases
I was wondering if the English phrases "Are you ready to go" and "He wants an apple" can be translated into German literally. Then they would be "Bist du fertig zu gehen" and "Er will einen Apfel", respectively. Am I translating them completely wrong, or is this correct? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Vielen Dank!!!

Re:German form of some English phrases
Hallo Caleb!

Ich weis nicht, ob diese englischen Sätze eine besondere Bedeutung haben.
Aber falls nicht...

Die Sätze sind beide grammatisch richtig.
Aber im Ersten würde man anstatt "fertig" besser "bereit" sagen.
Der Zweite ist völlig richtig.

Beste Grüße und guten Rutsch,

Johannes
