Talk to Her
Has anyone seen the Spanish movie "Talk to Her" from P. Almodovar? It's a fantastic movie! It's romantic without being entirely sexual, it's melancholic without being entirely sad or depressing. It gets you completely involved with the characters as Almodovar makes you laught and cry with them. It's a piece of art.
The soundtrack is super, with one great song from the Brazilian singer Caetano Veloso.
Definitely a must see movie.

Hola Eres Espanol no? Si, he visto la pelicula. Y me gusto mucho. Me gusta Pedro Almodovar.

Re:Talk to Her
I love Almodovar! I thought i had seen just about every Almodovar film in existence, pretty sure I've seen all available in this area, but "Talk To Her" doesn't ring any bells. If it's Almodovar, I'm sure it's good. I haven't seen an Almodovar film that i don't like on some level or other. His films range from light comedies to dark comedies, drama, and some scarey stuff too. If there is an Almodovar stinker out there, i haven't seen it.

Since you are in Spain i assume that you like to read English. I however, need to practice Spanish. Why is it that films with subtitles are not available. Surely they are available somewhere. It's obvious that you have access to a computer. Couldn't you find some over the internet. Movies with subtitles have been an excellent learning tool for myself, since i have had very little class room time learning Spanish.

Nicola, I would recommend that you buy a Dvd player. The Dvd's all have subtitles which you can watch at the same time as the spoken stuff. I am learning spanish and have found it invaluable for helping me. I watched Todo sobre mi madre in both english and spanish and i could repeat as many times as i liked certain sections of the film to hear and understand what they were saying.

Hope it helps, send me a message if you want more tips.

Ciao

Roger

I have this film on DVD subtitled in English (as well as a few other Spanish films). I can send it to you in exchange for some other good film.

Also i dont know if you have seen any of his other movies but Carne tremula/live flesh is a good one, very clever plot and Todo sobre mi madre/All about my mother is amazing i first i hated it and now ive watched it 5 times and thinks its great, the power of films!
