Need to write a thank you note
Hi there

I need to write a thank-you note to a Bosnian family who cleans my home every once in awhile.

When they come to my house, the always bring wonderful vegetables. This time they brought over wonderful vegetables and also 4 ceramic dishes which were hand painted. They know very little English and I would like to write them a thank you note in the Bosnian language.

"Dear Fatima and Falco - Thank you so much for the wonderful vegetables that you were so kind to give Bruce and I. We also loved the blue ceramic dishes that were hand painted and lovely. We will use them on the holidays.

Have a happy holiday. Karen and Bruce"

Re:Need to write a thank you note
Hi Karen,
I have a student who is of Bosniac origin. I will forward your message to him and ask him if his family can translate it. It may not work, (I really don't know if his parents still speak the language), but I thought that if it could help I might as well give it a try.
I'll let you know on Friday evening !
Regards,
Carole

Re:Need to write a thank you note
Hi Karen,
I got the translation from my student !
Here it goes :

"Draga Fatima i Falko,
Hvala vam puno za predivno povrce (there is a ' on the c) koje ste sa zadovoljstvom dali Bruce i meni. Takoder (there is a - across the top of the d) nam se sviota keramicko (there is a reversed ^ on the c) posude (a - across the top of the d again) koje je rucno (a reversed ^on the c) slikano. Koristicemo (reversed ^on the c) ga za prarnike.
Sretni vam praznici. Karen i Bruce"

I guess they'll be very touched. It's very kind of you to give them a message in their language. If you need to write other messages, don't hesitate to ask.
Happy holidays to you !
Carole
