I've been to quebec before its a great place with its own culture. If you are in the older city's or old parts of the old city's you can see a distinctive european architecture which differs from the rest of canada so I thought that was cool. If you are in Quebec city know that it is the oldeest city in canada founded in 1608. Despite the rumours that they aren't friendly people I found them to be perfectly friendly enough.
P.S. Yes it is cold in quebec in the winter. supposedly its fine in the summer and spring.
