His three novels for youth I found wonderful reading -- even though I´m 65. He said that he wrote stories he thought he himself would have enjoyed reading and didn´t consider the three books for youth, but the young at heart.

The books are: El Príncipe de la Niebla; El Palacio de al Medianoche; and, Las Luces de Septiembre.

If you are looking for a good beginning book while learning Spanish, I would recommend the three listed above.

I agree! I read one of them and have another on order. Even if they were for young people, I'm still young a heart and enjoy his writing.
